JACKSONVILLE, Fla. & PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Independent creative writing incubator and speculative sanctuary The Prose Portal today announced its official Fall 2026 relaunch, opening its virtual doors on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM Eastern.
Founded and led by author, composer, and creative director D.L. Robinson (writing as D.L. Robinson), The Prose Portal provides speculative fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, and Afrofuturist authors with a structured container combining weekly 90-minute live writing sprints with an intensive twelve-week craft curriculum known as the Twelve Conquered Chambers.
In direct partnership with Time Traveler’s Digest (timetravelersdigest.com), stories drafted and polished inside The Prose Portal are eligible for fast-track editorial consideration in upcoming quarterly anthologies and digital transmissions.
The Prose Portal’s return aligns with two major milestones across the parent company ProfessorClock Media LLC:
Launch of ProfessorClockBooks.com — a dedicated, direct-to-reader literary portal carrying collector-grade physical editions, signed releases, and digital volumes across the studio’s sixteen-year Afrofuturist catalog (professorclockbooks.com).
P.M.S. — Parallax Morph Syndrome pre-order — pre-orders are now open for the debut novel by D.L. Robinson, the sci-fi epic built on time itself, where the Order of the Fixed Path and its Time Prophets move across eras to hold history's fragile lattice together. The first edition hardcover includes the ebook for $29.99 and ships on release day, October 9, 2026.
“We built The Prose Portal as a sacred container where writers don’t just passively consume lectures — they actively create, critique, and complete living worlds. By connecting our live weekly writing room directly to Time Traveler’s Digest and the new ProfessorClock Books imprint, we are giving independent writers an authentic, sovereign pipeline from initial draft to published print.”
