What we set: nothing for tracking

professorclock.media runs no analytics platform, no advertising pixels, no retargeting tags, no audience-measurement scripts, and no social plug-ins. We set no first-party cookies for tracking, profiling, or advertising purposes. There is no cookie-consent banner on this site because neither our code nor our host places anything that requires consent — a claim we verified against the live site rather than assumed, and which is set out in detail below.

A small amount of browser local storage is used for one purely functional purpose: remembering that you dismissed the site's announcement ribbon, so it does not reappear on every page. That value stays in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your site data.

Verified: our host sets no cookies

This site is hosted on Netlify. We tested the live site directly: requests to professorclock.media return no Set-Cookie header at all, on ordinary page loads and on form submissions alike. Netlify only sets cookies for features this site does not use — split testing (nf_ab) and its login product (nf_jwt) — and neither is enabled here. Netlify does process standard server logs and stores the contents of forms you submit, which is covered in the Privacy Policy rather than here, because logs and form records are not cookies.

How this site was built, and what that means for you

This site is hand-authored static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, developed with the assistance of AI coding tools running on the operator's own computer. Those tools are authoring instruments; no AI service, SDK, telemetry, or analytics code from any AI vendor is included in what gets sent to your browser. We verified this by scanning the entire deployed output: it contains no such code. Nothing about how the site was written causes your visit to be reported to anyone.

Every third party your browser actually contacts

This is the complete list, taken from the deployed code rather than from memory:

• api.fontshare.com — typefaces, requested on every page. Font requests transmit standard connection metadata (IP address, user agent) to that provider.
• www.youtube-nocookie.com — video embeds, loaded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, which withholds most cookies until you actually press play. Once you interact with a player, Google's cookies and policies apply. On the home page, the main video is click-to-play: nothing loads from YouTube until you choose to start it.
• i.ytimg.com — one video thumbnail image on the home page, served from Google's image host and loaded with the page. It is an image request, not a tracking script, but it does reveal your IP address to Google.
• book-professorclock.netlify.app — the booking flow, embedded as an iframe that stays empty until you open the booking window. If you never open it, your browser never contacts it.
• Brevo — our email provider. Involved only if you join a list; if you open a marketing email, Brevo may register that open. It does not track your browsing on this website.
• Zoom, Stripe, PayPal, Bandcamp, Amazon — reached only when you deliberately follow a link into one of them for a session, purchase, or listing. At that point you have left this site and their terms govern.

One capability we have deliberately left switched off

The on-site guide includes an optional feature that could log the questions visitors ask it to an external endpoint, so the studio could learn what people want to know. That endpoint is empty on every page of this site, so nothing is logged or transmitted. We are disclosing it because it exists in the code and could be enabled — and if it ever is, this notice will say so first, and it will not carry personal information.

Advertising

We do not sell advertising on this site, do not run third-party ad networks, and do not participate in real-time bidding, cross-site retargeting, or audience-data sales. Because we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism to offer — there is nothing being sold or shared to opt out of.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, and most browsers offer a "block third-party cookies" option that will stop embedded players from setting them.
