Additional or supplemental terms apply to particular services — courses, events, community submissions, client engagements, and music licensing. Those are set out in the Service Schedules below, and where they conflict with these general Terms, the schedule governs for that service.
1. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm, disable, or interfere with the Site or its services — including unauthorized access, security breaches, harassment, spam, or distributing malware.
2. Intellectual property
The Site and its content — text, artwork, music, video, and code — are the property of ProfessorClock Media LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not use Site content for any commercial purpose without our express written permission. See the Copyright & Takedowns section of the Legal hub to report suspected infringement.
3. Forms and submitted content
Information you submit through the Site's forms (RSVP, workshop requests, event contributions) is governed by our Privacy Policy. Any creative work you submit to a designated community program — such as the Time Traveler's Digest submissions portal — is additionally governed by that program's own contributor terms, presented at the point of submission.
4. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, as to the Site's operation or the information, content, or materials included on it.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProfessorClock Media LLC will not be liable for any damages arising from use of the Site, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or damages from loss of data or unauthorized access to your transmissions.
6. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. ProfessorClock Media LLC is organized under Rhode Island law, and the state and federal courts located in Rhode Island have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the covered properties.
7. Service Schedules
These schedules supplement the Terms above for specific services. Only the schedules relevant to a service you actually use apply to you.
Schedule A — Workshops, courses & events
- Booking. Course seats, drop-in entries, and team engagements are requested through the Workshops form. A request is not a reservation; your place is held once payment clears, or for team engagements once a scope is approved.
- Payment. Public course seats and drop-ins are paid by a payment link sent in reply. Team engagements (Session, Intensive, Residency) are invoiced after a scoping consult, per our process. Payments are processed by a third-party processor under its own terms; we do not store your card details.
- Refunds. The refund terms published on the Workshops page at the time of your purchase govern that purchase. As of this date: a full refund of the remainder is available if a four-week course is not a fit after the first lecture; no refunds after the second lecture; and no refunds on paired, founding-rate, or single-session drop-in entries.
- Sessions and recordings. Live sessions may be recorded for participants. By attending you agree that your questions and contributions may be included in a recording distributed to that cohort. Tell us before a session if you would prefer to participate with camera and microphone off.
- Changes. If we must reschedule a session, we will offer the recording, a substitute session, or a pro-rata refund.
- Third-party programs. The Prose Portal enrolls and transacts at proseportal.com under the terms published there, not these.
Schedule B — Community submissions & user content
- Where we invite creative contributions — the Time Traveler's Digest submissions portal and planned community archive features — the contributor terms presented at the point of submission govern that submission, including the licence you grant us and the credit you receive.
- You must own or have the right to submit what you send, and it must not infringe anyone else's rights.
- We do not use contributor submissions as AI training data. See the AI Disclosure & Content Policy.
- We may decline, edit for length and clarity, or remove any submission.
Schedule C — Client services
- Commissioned work — music production, podcast production, AI consulting, web production, graphic design, and set design — is governed by the individual written proposal, statement of work, and payment schedule agreed for that engagement, following the six-step process published at Our Process. Those documents control over these Terms for that engagement.
- Nothing on this site is an offer, a quote, or a guarantee of availability. Pricing is quoted after a consult.
Schedule D — Music, catalog & licensing
- Recordings released through professor:clock records are owned or controlled by ProfessorClock Media LLC unless a release states otherwise. Streaming and purchase links lead to third-party platforms governed by their own terms.
- Personal listening is welcome. Synchronization, sampling, broadcast, or commercial use requires a written licence — write to hello@professorclock.media.
- Books are sold and fulfilled by third-party retailers and print-on-demand distributors under their terms; we are not the seller of record for those purchases.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
