ProfessorClock Media
Editorial Standards & Corrections
What we verify before publishing, how relationships are disclosed, and how mistakes get fixed in public.
Effective: August 31, 2026 · Applies to press releases, the Time Traveler's Digest, and studio editorial across our properties.
Fiction is labeled as fiction
ProfessorClock Media publishes both speculative fiction and factual studio communications. Narrative works — the NAOPC canon, Time Traveler's Digest stories, film and audio drama — are creative fiction and are presented as such. Press releases, catalog information, workshop details, and business claims are factual statements and are held to the standards below.
Dates and announcements
We do not backdate press releases. A release is dated when it is issued, and drafted-but-unissued material is marked as such internally and never presented as historical record. Where an event is real but its date is unconfirmed, we say so rather than publishing a date we cannot stand behind.
Claims we will not make
We do not publish invented testimonials, fabricated client lists, unverifiable audience or revenue figures, or awards we have not received. Where a number appears on this site — volumes, tracks, minutes, articles, years — it refers to work that exists and can be verified in the catalog.
Relationships and sponsorship
Guest appearances, ceremony partnerships, and creative collaborations are disclosed wherever they appear, in the copy itself rather than only in a legal footer. Where a partner is an independent business rather than one of our properties, we say so — see the Brand & Entity Directory. If any placement on our properties ever becomes paid, sponsored, or affiliate-compensated, that will be disclosed clearly and conspicuously next to the content, consistent with FTC guidance on material connections.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and we mark the fix:
- Substantive factual errors — the page is corrected and a dated correction note is appended, describing what was wrong and what changed.
- Issued press releases are not silently rewritten. A material change is published as a new dated release or an appended correction, so the record of what was said and when remains intact.
- Typographic and formatting fixes are made without notation.
